but also Mental Health.
& it matters!

Mental health involves multiple aspects, including our emotions, thoughts, and social connections. In our previous issue we talked about various aspects of mental health. So in this issue, we will define and discuss the different components that contribute to overall mental well-being in a clear and straightforward way.
Psychological & Mental well being
Mental well-being refers to how we feel and how we act. It includes our emotions and our relationships with others, as well as our sense of independence and control.
Everyone experiences mental health issues, regardless of their wealth, appearance, or success. No one is exempt from mental health challenges.
While some people believe certain individuals are immune to mental health problems, this is simply not true. Mental health affects everyone.
That's why mental well-being is so crucial. Our mental health has a significant impact on our overall health, including our physical well-being. However, many still underestimate the importance of mental health and refuse to acknowledge it as equally important as physical health.
Although society has made progress in recognizing the importance of mental health over the past decade, more work needs to be done to convince some people that prioritizing mental health is essential.
Mental well-being is a key component of mental health and can be seen as a preventive strategy for protecting our mental health.

Make Your Mental Health a Priority to Live Your Best Life.
Mental well-being is more than just avoiding mental health problems. It's about developing positive habits and attitudes that help you thrive in all areas of life – physically and mentally.
Focusing on your mental well-being isn't just about getting by. It's about creating routines and practices that promote a healthier, happier life.
When you make your mental health a priority, you'll handle stress and challenges with more calm and clarity. You'll avoid burnout and mental fog. You'll manage your emotions better and live according to your core values.

Here are some signs that you're prioritizing your mental well being:
- Feeling fulfilled and growing as a person
- Having a sense of belonging to a group or family
- Being emotionally resilient
- Staying true to your beliefs and values
- Accepting yourself
- Making time for hobbies and interests
- Coping well with stress and handling emotions effectively
- Using your strengths to your advantage
- Taking action instead of being passive
- Feeling independent and self-reliant
- Being confident and optimistic
- Nurturing healthy relationships
If these don't describe how you currently feel, it may be time to put more focus on your mental well-being. By developing these positive qualities, you'll be better equipped to overcome life's challenges and truly thrive.

Many people still don't prioritize their mental health. While society has made progress in this area, mental well-being is often neglected in people's busy lives.
In other countries they are fortunate to be more open about mental health compared to many other countries that are still behind in accepting mental health issues.
Unfortunately, there's still a big stigma attached to mental health and mental illnesses.
One major misconception is that if you have a mental illness, there's something wrong with you. Especially men worry about being seen as weak for admitting mental health struggles.
This is not true. Mental health is just as important as physical health, and it can decline just like physical health. That's why psychological well-being is crucial.
If you neglected your physical health, you'd get sick. It's the same with mental health.
When it comes to physical illnesses, people don't see you as weak. So why are mental illnesses still viewed as a defining characteristic of a person?
